Thrifted Earrings Tuesday: It Takes A Village to Find Something Precious (by HMK)
What: Really lovely gold and assorted other colors of sparkles earrings
Brand: Goodness knows Something vintage and wondrous, to be sure
Where: Recycled Records, Springfield, IL
When: June 2014
Price: $8 (so decadent for me! And yet they are so lovely; so worth it)
People whose benevolence and assistance I required, to make these gorgeous earrings my very own:
-The delightful people who designed and created these beauties, in the first place. Before they were solid and real, a vision for these stunners existed in someone’s brain—and bless them for translating glittery visions into such beautifully solid objects.
-The wondrous lady or gent who donated/sold these beauties to the glorious shop. I hope they did so because they had worn and loved them, and decided, for whatever reason, that they did not wish to own them anymore—subsequently sending them out into the world, to have new and glorious adventures.
-My dear friend Melissa, whom I charged with digging through a vat of earrings to see if she might find anything interesting on my behalf, and who, true to form, located these loves for me. Good friends have good instincts, insight, and acumen, always.
-The considerate and conscientious cashier, who sought out a price on these unmarked wonders for me, and even bargained the store proprietor down $2 on my behalf. Kind and benevolent man.
It takes a village, to make owning lovely earrings possible. And what a truly fantastic village it is.
