Out-of-town friend and Pitchfork attendee Meredith here, modeling a thrifted 60’s knit dress she’s had for eons over her bathing suit. (We went to the beach yesterday)
She got the two necklaces at Pitchfork, and they suit her perfectly… Meredith is training to be a large animal vet, and was delighting me with stories of her course in Guatemala and the time she treated a deer with a grape-fruit sized abscess on its leg and a 3-month old bat bite on its neck.
Inside the light bulb are molted tarantula parts the jewelry maker got from a zoo, and the jewelry maker (Pajaro Negro) donates some of her proceeds back to them. Her etsy shop is here.
